A piece I created a year ago

This is a portrait I did that was inspired by aunt who passed a few years back. My husband is also an artist and he created the print blocks that outlined this piece, so this is really a collaboration piece. We work really well together, we just don't create enough pieces together.

I'm almost done with this portrait, but I keep getting "stuck" or distracted. The goal is to finish this by the Sunday.

Oh yeah, I went to the opening last night of the BADC art show titled 'Blackness' at the DC Art Center. Very inspirational.....I do wish I would of entered one of my pieces. Oh well....next time.

grind mode
So today is Saturday. Work has been extra stressful. It's interesting how people are threatened by someone young and talented.....and I won't pull the race card, but it kind of makes you wonder...

On a different note, I'm back in the grind mode.
